People. How little we are.

People. How little we are“ is a different album from what I published before.

For years, regardless of the place I visited I tried to catch clean shots with absolutely no people in them.

I had this weird idea that somehow having people in my pictures would ruin my frame so even if I took such pictures I discarded them home and didn’t look back.

I wish I could tell you the exact moment when I realised I was wrong in my thinking but honestly,  i don’t remember the time when I decided to include people in my photographs.

I know many photographers like to get in close, to fill the frame with the subject, to stalk the character until they get that ” perfect” shot but I never enjoyed that approach.

My goal was and still is to make the people as little as I can in the frame.

I know we are used to think that we are important, we are grand, the world is revolving around us but what I’m trying to show in my pictures is exactly the opposite.

I like to catch the surroundings more and have the people play a small part in the picture.

They are there but they are elements of the picture, they are surrounded by nature, by cities, architecture.

Without them many shots would be sterile. I guess what I tried to show here is that we don’t need to fill the frame with people, we don’t need to shoot them larger than life.

We are little, we are passing by in this world but our presence enriches most pictures we appear in.

This album is a people album but also a travel album.

It will take you from The USA to Africa and Europe and hopefully it will make you dream to far away places.

I hope you will enjoy it!
