04 Sep Why am I making this shift?
This blog started with a simple idea: travel, reviews, routes to inspire, and most of all, things centered around the joy of exploration.
It was a passion project, a space to share my adventures and inspire others to see the world through the lens of travel.
As time passed, my interests evolved.
Photography became a significant part of my journey, leading me to write for photography magazines, enter international photo competitions, and even sell my prints and products.
But now, I find myself on the cusp of a new shift, one that might seem a bit different to those who have followed my work so far.
There are so many people who appreciate my photographs, comment on my posts, read my articles, and support my blog by purchasing the products I create.
I am deeply grateful for every like, share, and purchase. But most of these supporters might not know that my first love wasn’t photography—it was fitness.
A Journey Back to My First Love: Fitness
Growing up as a fat kid, I never paid much attention to my appearance.
I was the kid who was picked last for sports, the one who avoided the mirror, and who found comfort in food rather than fitness.
It wasn’t until I got into college that I took my first steps into the world of fitness, a realm that would become a lifelong passion.
Those early days in the gym were transformative. They weren’t just about losing weight or looking better—they were about discovering strength, discipline, and a sense of control over my own body.
Fitness became my anchor, something that stayed with me even as I pursued other passions.
Over the years, I’ve battled weight gain. As a former fat kid, my body has a tendency to put on weight quickly, especially if I indulge in food without restraint.
But this struggle also fueled my interest in learning everything I could about fitness, nutrition, and health.
I’ve read thousands of articles, hundreds of books, and even became certified in nutrition.
I wrote and published a book about my experiences and the knowledge I gained along the way.
Now, after many years of focusing on travel and photography, it feels like the right moment to return to my roots.
To step back into the ring and help others who are facing the same battles I did.
This isn’t just a casual return to an old interest—it’s a commitment to helping people transform their lives, just as I transformed mine.
Whether through online coaching, one-on-one workshops, or my writing, my goal is to make a real impact.
Why This Shift Matters
So why am I making this shift? Because fitness is not just a hobby for me—it’s a way of life.
It’s a philosophy that has guided me through some of the most challenging periods of my life.
And now, I want to share that philosophy with you. I want to help others who, like me, have struggled with weight, self-esteem, and finding the right balance between enjoying life and maintaining health.
My decision to pull my book from Amazon and rewrite it is a reflection of this renewed commitment.
I’m not just updating it with new information—I’m reworking it to include everything I’ve learned since I first published it in 2016.
The fitness industry has evolved, and so have I.
My approach has changed, and I want to share these new insights while still preserving the original articles so you can see how my philosophy has grown over the years.
Connecting with You: My Goal
What I want, more than anything, is to connect with you—the person reading these lines.
I want you to stop for a moment, read my ideas, and ask yourself if they resonate with you.
Do my experiences speak to your challenges?
Do my suggestions make sense to you? If they do, that’s fantastic.
Maybe you’ll continue reading my blog, maybe you’ll buy the book when it’s ready, or perhaps you’ll reach out for a one-on-one workshop to discuss your personal goals and challenges.
But if my ideas don’t resonate with you, that’s perfectly okay too.
There are countless coaches, trainers, and nutritionists out there, and I’m confident you’ll find someone who fits your needs and aligns with your perspective.
The most important thing is to approach this journey with an open mind. Explore different ideas, test out different methods, and in the end, make the decision that feels right for you.
Whether you choose to join me on this journey or find a different path, the goal is the same: to take one step closer to achieving your goals.
The Importance of Following Your Passion
This shift also speaks to a broader theme that I believe in deeply: the importance of following your passion, even when it leads you down unexpected paths.
When I first started this blog, I couldn’t have imagined that it would evolve into what it is today, or that it would eventually lead me back to my first love—fitness.
But life is full of surprises, and I’ve learned that it’s important to stay true to what drives you, even when it means changing direction.
For me, this isn’t just about going back to fitness—it’s about integrating my love for travel, photography, and storytelling with my passion for health and wellness.
I want to create content that inspires people to live their best lives, whether that’s through capturing the beauty of the world in a photograph, or helping someone achieve their fitness goals.
The Future of This Blog
So, what does the future hold for this blog?
You can expect a mix of content that reflects my diverse interests.
There will still be travel stories, photography tips, and product reviews, but you’ll also see more articles focused on fitness, nutrition, and personal development.
I want this space to be a resource for anyone looking to improve their life, whether that’s through exploring new places, discovering new hobbies, or taking control of their health.
I also plan to share more of my personal journey—the ups and downs, the challenges and successes.
I believe that by being open about my experiences, I can help others who are facing similar struggles.
After all, we’re all in this together, and if my story can inspire or help someone else, then it’s worth sharing.
The Real Value of This Shift
At the end of the day, this shift isn’t just about changing the focus of my blog—it’s about staying true to who I am and what I believe in.
It’s about recognizing that life is about growth, evolution, and the courage to pursue what truly matters to you.
Whether you’re here for the travel stories, the photography tips, or the fitness advice, I hope you’ll find something that inspires you, challenges you, and helps you on your journey.
I’m excited about this new direction and hope you’ll join me as I explore these new paths.
Whether we’re talking about the best places to travel, the latest photography techniques, or how to stay fit and healthy, my goal is to create a community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about living their best lives.
Thank you for being a part of this journey. I look forward to what lies ahead.
