05 Jul Hotel Cristal – How to make your guests feel special
So…just a short while since I returned from Puglia and the memories are still fresh.
I really enjoyed my trip to this beautiful place part of Italy and I guess part of this magic came from the warmth of the people I met there.
So you can imagine that before starting this review I would like to thank the staff at Hotel Cristal for making my stay so pleasant and for helping me with many informations (in one place I was sent I decided that those pastas are the best pastas I ever ate but more about that place in another review).
Now, before starting the review I would like to mention that I booked a small room so ALL my comments will refer only to that kind of room.
Location
The Hotel is situated on Via Trevisani 190 and is about 1.2 km from Bari Central Station. The road is simple even though it might seem a bit long. You only take left on Corso Italia from the Station and walk straight ahead until you meet with Via Trevisani where you turn right and walk up until the Hotel.
The hotel is situated about 1 km from the old part of Bari and it is an easy walk that I made quite a few times myself too.
Room
As I said I booked a small room and my only discomfort was the small shower. At 190 cm and 110 kg I barely fitted inside the shower cabin so taking showers was a bit tricky.
Other than that the room is small but I did have a kitchenette and a nice balcony where I enjoyed a drink or something sweet late at night after my trips.
The room was impeccably clean, cleaning service was present every day and provided me with new towels each day.
Staff
Hands down some of the warmest people I ever met. Only good things can be said about them so a big plus from me.
Price
For a double room(small) I paid a total of 360 thru Agoda for 6 nights and that seems fair for this hotel and the period(may) in which I took my trip.
Proximity
As I said in the beginning the hotel is about 1.2 km from the train station and 1 km from the old part of Bari. Also Bari Lungomare is about 1.3 km so location was very ok for me.
Facilities
The hotel does offer parking space (you must reserve it in advance) and believe me if you really want to see Puglia you will need a car so it is nice to be able to park it right at the hotel.
Verdict
Simple: if ever in Bari again I will definitely stay here again.
